MEET THE WORLD’S MOST EXPENSIVE CITY: 18 PHOTOS ON WHAT TO DO IN SINGAPORE ON A BUDGET

Singapore wasn’t part of my original plan because they said it’s expensive. I challenged myself that it’s possible to backpack Singapore within 48 hours- a quite limited visit in South East Asia’s most prosperous city! Here are my 25 photos to inspire your backpacking to the World’s Most Expensive City.

HOSTEL SCENES

I stayed at The Pod for $23 which is 10 minute walk from the Bugis Station. It’s very minimalist and at the same time fancy.

Breakfast is free and served in a simple lounge area.

TRAIN SCENES

I love trains. Singapore’s train system is very organised but at times I got lost.
ARAB STREET AND HAJI LANE SCENES
A 2-minute walk from my hostel is this coolest neighbourhood.

Street Art in Haji Lane
One of the highlights of my trip is this colourful and stunning street. With Masjid Sultan as its heart that reaches back 200 years ago, this area is also home to boutiques, food shops and street arts. I highly recommend this!

After seeing Singapore’s Skyline at night, I wanted to see what’s it like during daylight. It’s as magnificent as it was during at night. I’m in awe!

CLOUD FOREST SCENES

48 hours ended so quickly with filled memories! It’s nice meeting new people but sad truth about it is you have to leave and they have to leave too! I wish conversations were longer to get to know each other. But that’s the thing about traveling, your paths will cross but you move forward. We may never cross again but hoping it will someday.
