I arrived in Puerto Princesa Airport alone at 7pm. I was supposed to be with a friend but Cebu Pacific changed his flight schedule the next day without him knowing. During the flight, there’s this guy that looks really familiar and I know I got it right because I knew he was coming. I just didn’t know we were on the same flight! Guys, meet Jordan!
The plan was to explore El Nido first before Puerto Princesa. I was looking for a van that would take me to El Nido. Unfortunately, the last van departed already. I kept looking and luckily someone was willing to hitched me up for P500. While waiting for our van to leave, I saw three people discussing over something. I approached them and they have the same scenario as me. One was a solo backpacker from Manila and the couple are from France. We all went together in a tricycle to go to a bus terminal. We paid P300, if I remember correctly.
We left at 8:30PM and arrived 3AM in my El Nido Hostel. The whole ride was bumpy and awful I almost vomited myself. So here are amazing scenes from my El Nido Trip. Enjoy!
I booked my TOUR A ahead before coming here so I don’t need to bring a lot of cash and for hassle free booking. This tour is composed of visiting the following:
- 7 Commando Beach
- Small lagoon
- Big lagoon
- Shimizu Island
- Hidden lagoon
The next day, it’s time for Tour C. It includes visiting the following:
- Helicopter Island
- Hidden Beach
- Talisay Beach for Lunch
- Secret Beach
- Matinloc Shrine
The tours all ended at around 16:00-17:00. I bid goodbyes to every island I visited. And as I looked back, the palm trees waved their goodbyes too! It has come to my realisation that beauty comes alive and magnified when we start to take a different perspective, when we we step back and appreciate the bigger picture. These moments are exactly what I came here for — great adventures! Truly, it’s more fun in the Philippines!
